Opportunity: CHN Youth Program Collaboration

 Perhaps of interest:

Greetings Community for HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment,
Are you interested in youth program collaboration, a key stakeholder in providing services/space for youth and young adults in the greater Denver area, or a member of the youth community (ages 15-24)? Colorado Health Network is currently in the process of developing a brand new youth night and drop-in space at our off-site location HeyDenver (which provides free HIV/STI testing and prevention services) that will combine sexual health services with other educational and social programming expanding beyond HIV prevention (for young people ages 15-24). As part of our planning process, we are holding a community engagement session for programs/organizations/businesses that serve youth in Denver with a few goals. Through a lunchtime engagement session including small group discussion and facilitation, we hope to: 1.) Discover gaps in current services/spaces/programs and how to best situate our program within the community
2.) Develop relationships with you all for collaboration (for this program as well as future endeavors)
3.) Build trust with you all and awareness of our services for referrals for the youth you serve, as well as be able to provide referrals to our youth for your services/spaces/programs
4.) Cultivate a shared and equitable learning experience for a wide range of youth-serving programs/orgs/businesses to gather ideas and suggestions from each other We are inviting you to our adult provider/program community engagement session on:

  • February 13, 2020 at Colorado Health Network from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
  • Lunch will be provided. Please see the attached poster for more information. RSVP by February 10.
In return for your time and knowledge, we want to make this process an equitable feedback loop where you all hopefully take something away from the session that could help your program. To fulfill this objective, we will compile all the data from this session and provide you with a copy of the common findings, tips, suggestions, etc. Additionally, with lunch being provided, that’s one less meal you have to pack in February! J We are inviting all youth (ages 15-24) to our youth community engagement session on:
February 18, 2020 HeyDenver from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM
Dinner will be provided. Please see the attached poster for more information. RSVP by February 13. We will also be hosting an additional session the following week specifically for youth/young adults (ages 15-24) to provide their insight on what they’re looking for in a program. If you are able to share that poster/invitation to youth that you think would be interested or place it on a community board at your physical space, we would greatly appreciate that! Lastly, if you feel like another individual in your organization would be a better fit or if you know of other programs that should be invited, please forward this on to them! Thank you for your time and for the services/spaces you provide for young people in Denver! We hope to see you on February 13th, and please feel free to reach out to Spencer Spotts with any questions, at: Spencer.Spotts@coloradohealthnetwork.org.
