Do you have experience with case review, investigations, or death reviews? The Utah Department of Health seeks you as the Fatality Review Specialist to join the Violence and Injury Prevention Program (VIPP) to conduct professional case reviews of all child deaths in Utah. These cases are related to domestic violence, opioid overdose and suicide. You will need to work directly with communities and partners to develop and assess policies and programs which address the prevention of these deaths. In this role you will manage the logistics of the monthly meetings for Fatality Review committees, including, the Utah Child Fatality Review Committee, the Domestic Violence Fatality Review Committee, the Opioid Fatality Review Committee, and the Advanced Clinical Review Committee for Sudden Unexplained Infant Deaths and Sudden Death in Young. These committees meet to review fatality cases with the goal of better understanding the circumstances of how and why children, opioid users, and domestic violence victims, die and how these deaths can be prevented. To be successful, you need to be able to work effectively on a team, build partnerships, have exceptional organizational and time management skills, and effectively manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.
