Opportunity: Grant-writing Trainings

Community Resource Center, with support from Tony Grampsas Youth Services Program (TGYS), is offering free grant writing trainings. These hands-on seminars are designed to build your skills, grow your confidence, and increase your capacity to write grants and generate revenue for your critical work.  Tony Grampsas Youth Services is supporting these workshops, offered at no cost to you. Please note this training is not specific to the any one state grant application process. Space is limited, so be sure to register today. There are two different types of trainings being offered across the Colorado:   

Get Grants 
Attend this comprehensive, 1-day grant writing workshop and learn best practices in grant writing and tips for success. Participants will understand the essential elements included in a grant proposal and how to craft a compelling case for support through interactive exercises. A review of grant terminology, sources of grant funding and research tools including the Colorado Grants Guide® will be discussed.

Pen to Paper Series
This 3-day series will provide you with personalized coaching and peer review of a current grant application. Each session will focus on a different element of the Common Grant Application (CGA), including: narrative, goals & objectives and grant attachments. This course is intended for nonprofit professionals that work in a development capacity. Participants can bring in previous or current grant submissions to get direct feedback during the class and revise their proposals between sessions.
The trainings will be held at the Colorado Collaborative for Nonprofits in Denver on the following dates:
  • Session 1: Develop Your Effective Case for Support | Wednesday, April 10, 2019 |9AM - 4PM|
  • Session 2: Mission Building Blocks | Wednesday, April 17, 2019 | 9AM – 4PM |
  • Session 3: Grant Attachments | Thursday, May 2, 2019 | 9AM – 4PM |
