Boulder County Public Health is hiring for the position of Inspire Youth Connections Program Specialist! 

The Inspire Youth Connections (IYC) Program Specialist acts as a resource to the community in implementing positive youth development strategies/activities; engaging adults who are committed to creating strong, consistent, trusted, and caring relationships with our youth; and contributes to a highly collaborative, deliberate, and supported youth-serving professional community. This position will work closely with the Boulder County youth and adult community, BCPH colleagues, local school districts, and community agencies/coalitions to plan, implement, and evaluate strategies that impact positive youth development (PYD) with a focus on preventing teen suicide, bullying, violence, and substance abuse.

This position will work collaboratively to develop and implement a plan to increase health equity for populations adversely impacted by bullying and youth suicide. The position will also work with and convene initiatives and coalitions in Boulder County focused on building life skills, increasing connectedness, or preventing bullying and youth suicide in order to ensure that efforts in Boulder County are coordinated and are leveraging resources.

This is a full-time, benefited position with Boulder County. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. This position will require some evening and weekend hours as needed. This position has flexible locations out of either Boulder, CO or Longmont, CO. Under FSLA guidelines, this position is exempt from overtime.
