ASIST Suicide Intervention Skills Training

Two day suicide intervention skills training on Thursday, February 25, 2016 and Friday, February 26, 2016 from 8am-4:00pm each day at Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church 11500 West 20th Street (20th & Simms/Union) Lakewood, CO 80215 in the lower level multipurpose room. This training is coordinated by Jefferson Center for Mental Health and grant supported by the State of Colorado’s Office of Suicide Prevention. Lunch is provided on site each day for free.

This training is open to anyone identifying with or providing services to the GLBTQ and Latino populations in Jefferson, Clear Creek, and Gilpin Counties...including (but not limited to) parents, foster families, community representatives, healthcare staff, social services, juvenile justice, school personnel, emergency services workers, faith based organizations, and anyone else collaborating w/GLBTQ and Latino populations.

The ASIST workshop is for caregivers who want to feel more comfortable, confident and competent in helping to prevent the immediate risk of suicide. Over 1,000,000 caregivers have participated in this two-day, highly interactive, practical, practice-oriented workshop.
