Suicide and the Media

A Panel Discussion on How to Engage Journalists in Covering Stories that Elevate the Suicide Prevention Conversation

Denver, Colorado. December 9, 2015

Please join the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Colorado in a discussion with a panel of media experts who will share insights on best practices on getting positive coverage in suicide prevention. Facilitator Scott LoMurray of Sources of Strength, a youth suicide prevention project, will encourage representatives from print, radio and television news media to educate suicide prevention and mental health promotion advocates on how best to collaborate with reporters. Attendees from mental health and suicide prevention organizations from across the state are invited to attend and ask these experts questions.
