CDPHE's Retail Marijuana Education Program is excited to announce a funding opportunity for Latino/Hispanic Community Outreach

CDPHE's Retail Marijuana Education Program is excited to announce a funding opportunity for Latino/Hispanic Community Outreach. The purpose of this request for applications (RFA) is to fund local outreach to leverage the “Marihuana en Colorado, Lo Que Debes Entender” campaign (launched August 2015) to educate Spanish-speaking adults in their communities with information about marijuana legalization, the potential health effects from marijuana use, and how to talk to family members, teens or loved ones about marijuana.

Funded awardees will achieve the program’s stated goals in up to seven Latino/Hispanic communities in Colorado. Applications are due Sept. 25, 2015 by 4:00 p.m. You can read more about the RFA and download the document and attachments on CDPHE's site.

Please share this information with organizations that have capacity and experience conducting this type of culturally and linguistically responsive health education and outreach.

The “What’s next” campaign aims to reinforce the fact that not using marijuana is the standard in Colorado.
