The Child Welfare Information Gateway, Administration for Children and Families, has released “Protective Factors Approaches in Child Welfare.” This issue brief is designed to help policymakers, administrators, child welfare and related professionals, service providers, and advocates understand approaches to preventing and treating child abuse and neglect by addressing individual, relational, and community risk and protective factors.
