There is new attention being paid at the national level to the role of guns in suicides. Much of the discussion around gun safety has centered around interpersonal firearm violence, missing the fact that 76% of gun deaths in Colorado are due to suicide. This recent article highlights some important steps that people can take to reduce suicides by guns.
